The other night I was watching “Work of Art” on TV. It is a new Bravo reality TV show based on artists. It is very much like “Project Runway” but for artists. Since I loved (I think I still do love) Project Runway I watched Work of Art.

First the show is very similar to Project Runway but for artists. But my huge OMG moment was when I saw Miles Mendenhall. Miles went to the University of MN roughly around the same time as me and we actually worked together. My six degrees of separation with the world just got smaller. I will tell you this ,I am on Team Miles.

Art A Whirl This Weekend

There has been a change of venue. I will officially be at the 331 Club for Art A Whirl. I will be there Saturday only from 10 til probably 8 or 9. Art A Whirl is the premiere art crawl of NE Minneapolis. I personally believe it is the best art crawl in MN. Yes, even better than the Saint Paul Art Crawl, and yes I do live in Saint Paul.

At the 331, I will be showing my new seven deadly sins necklaces, egg nest necklaces, train people jewelry, and much more . So please come and join us this is sure to be an amazing event.

Just finished up the first show of the year, the MN Green Expo. The show was really great and its nice to dust off the cobwebs and get back in the swing of things. It was also nice to see some familiar faces and lots of new faces. That is the fun thing of doing a non standard art show, you meet people who would otherwise not know of you.

So if you did meet us this weekend make sure you follow us on our facebook page. This is the best way to have up to date information and specials.

I also hope to be adding recipes on my website soon. If you dont know I love to cook. I am just fascinated by it an kind of think of myself as a very serious amateur chef. One of the things chef Lefthand (that would be me) hopes to do is make almost all my meals from my garden. On of the things I am growing this year is Beet Chioggia. Isnt it gorgeous, I just love the stripes. I will let you know what I do with them. Once they grow beyond seedlings.

Once again it has been a while since I have posted. Part of the reason why, is my other job. Two years ago I became an art teacher. Now while I love my job, it is very time consuming, and sometimes things like posting to my blog go to the way side, but I am going to try posting more. Okay, I am well aware of my lack of postiing lately. I have many a excuse. Seriously and good ones.

1. I got married in May. So prior to this there was lots of planning.

2. I completed my first year as an art teacher. Yeah, go me and I survived it!

3. I completed my first year of teaching. This is two post worthy.

Okay, well thats all I got but trust me this is enough.

The wedding was fantastic my man and I had been together for 8 YEARS. So it was due and we did it in total style. Here is a photo of me before I walk down the isle and say those big couple of words.
I pinky swear to be good though and keep this and my etsy shop up to date!
